Description
Learn to use Business Process Management (BPM) and Business Activities Management (BAM) practices while using the powerful features and capabilities of WebSphere Business Modeler V6. Learn to gather requirements, set goals, create, analyze, report, and update business process models using a hands-on lab approach. Also, get an introduction to the new features of project versioning, business performance modeling, and Web-publishing. Analysis of a process model uses the powerful simulation capabilities of the Modeler. Examine Swimlane/Line of Visibility Enterprise Modeling (LOVEM), and the import capability from other tools such as Microsoft Visio.
Gain intensive training in business process modeling and analysis. Examine the generation of code from Modeler to import Web Service Business Process Execution Language (WS-BPEL) into WebSphere Integration Developer (WID) in WebSphere Process Server (WPS), and Unified Modeling Language (UML) into Rational Service Architect (RSA).
WebSphere Business Modeler supports process improvement by capturing a comprehensive view of the way companies do business. A clear understanding of how a process works is a prerequisite to meeting the demands of a constantly changing environment. Focus on concepts and procedures involved in modifying and customizing business process models based on user profiles. Engage in interactive discussion on solution modeling where you build your own models based on business scenarios. Scoping and methodology of business process modeling are also covered to round out the business analyst role.
