SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT MANAGEMENT (Agile-Scrum)

Course outline

3 days

Duration

3 days

OVERVIEW

Managing a modern Software Project Management project requires a thorough understanding of the various roles that must come together in order to create a successful application. Software development is the process of conceiving, specifying, designing, programming, documenting, testing, and bug fixing involved in creating and maintaining applications, frameworks, or other software components.

Scrum is one of the agile methodologies designed to guide teams in the iterative and incremental delivery of a product. Often referred to as “an agile project management framework,” its focus is on the use of an empirical process that allows teams to respond rapidly, efficiently, and effectively to change. Traditional project management methods fix requirements in an effort to control time and cost; Scrum on the other hand, fixes time and cost in an effort to control requirements. This is done using time boxes, collaborative ceremonies, a prioritized product backlog, and frequent feedback cycles. The involvement of the business throughout the project is critical as Scrum relies heavily on the collaboration between the team and the customer or customer representative to create the right product in a lean

fashion at par with market demand.BENEFITS

  • Know how to identify, evaluate and document the many stakeholders of a project
  • Understand the reason for the various artifacts and the key features of each
  • Write effective User Stories that can be used to identify requirements in an Agile project
  • Learn how the differing life cycle models combine to create an Agile SDLC implementation
  • Be able to choose the proper project management methodology for your project based upon its own unique characteristics
  • Understand the significance of different estimating methods and how they should be utilized for time and cost estimation
  • SCRUM Agile provides and instills guidelines for the successful implementation of Agile—the most popular Agile product development and project delivery methodology.
