Overview
SDNOur Software Defined Networking Bootcamp (SDN100) course is an instructor-led training providing a new paradigm of networking. This training is for network architects, engineers, administrators, technical managers/leads, product managers, and sales engineers. You will learn how to operate, configure and administer an environment built with Software Defined Networking (SDN), OpenFlow and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV). This vendor-agnostic, technology-inclusive course is broken up into two sections: lectures and labs.
In lectures, instructors will cover the building blocks of SDN, its fundamentals and familiarize you with the protocols in use. Highly correlated, NFV technologies are explained. Performance aspects of NFV require special attention, so that DPDK, SR-IOV and NUMA are covered in the course as well. Among the already established technologies, the instructor will also provide an introduction to the most recent SDN trends in the world, such as Linux kernel enhancements called XDP (eXpress Data Path) or recently open sourced kernel bypass technology FD.IO. You will also learn the main use cases and architecture used in modern SDN solutions: OpenDayLight, OpenContrail, Calico, ONOS are covered in the course, with deep dive into Calico and OpenContrail.
Labs, are comprised of hands-on experience with Open vSwitch, Mininet, ONOS, eBPF and Calico.
