Who Should Attend
Forklift Drivers & Warehouse Supervisor
Basic Requirement
- Must have no adverse vision problems that cannot be corrected by glasses or contacts.
- No adverse hearing loss that cannot be corrected with hearing aids.
- No physical impairments that would impair safe operation of the Forklift.
- No neurological disorders that affect balance or consciousness.
- No psychological disorders.
- Not taking any medication that affects perception, vision, or physical abilities.
- Able to communicated in Bahasa Malaysia or English
Purpose and Objective
To give a Basic education on Dos & Don’t of Forklift Operation and Basic Inspection and Handling Techniques.
Training Outcome
After attending this workshop, participants will have awareness of the Dos and Don’ts of Forklift operation and if they follow what has been taught during the training than the operation will be a safe operation.

Module 1 -- Safety at Work Place
- Occupational Safety & Health Act 1994
- Employer & Employee Responsibilities
Module 2 -- Forklift Operation
- Pre-Operation Forklift Inspection
- Checklist
- Safety features
- Safety in Forklift Operation
- Required Actions from Employee’s
- Follow procedures
- Act Responsibly
- Inspect Truck daily before start of Operation.
- Safety Precautions
- Refueling / Recharging Safety
- Diesel / Patrol
- LPG
- Recharging Electric Truck
Module 3 --Safe Maneuvering Techniques
- Outside Building
- Inside Building
- Loading / Unloading and stacking of boxes and crates.
- On to Trucks or Lorries
- On Rack
Module 4 -- Forklift Stability
- Stability Triangle
- Center of Gravity ‘Truck’ & Load
- Prevention of Truck tip over
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Other Precautions to be taken.
Module 5 -- Theory Assessment & 2 to 2 ½ hours of practical Training

Utilities Required for Practical:
- Forklift 1 to 3.5 ton forklift
- 16 pcs 55 gallon / 208 liter drums
- Open Space of about 40 X 50 ft
