Course Description
In today's competitive business environment, it is very important to make a very sound judgment based on data and facts. To ensure the right and appropriate transformation of data to information is through proper Application of Statistical Method. Though Statistical Methods has been labeled as Technical and complicated by some practitioners, it is not necessary so.
This course intends to provide a practical and easy to follow manner in Applied Statistics which will be useful for both Engineers and Managers. On top of this, this course is putting in "Statistics Made Easy and Interesting" Style as the course leader is very experienced in Statistical Application in various industries who has rendered his service as Statistical and Quality Control Consultant to many local companies. You will learn, not from Textbook, but cases of real life applications in both services and manufacturing concerns.

METHODOLOGY
We assume no or little Statistical background for all participants. We have structured the course in such a way participants can follow with reference to a lot real life examples. No complicated theory, but a very applied and practical way of coaching is adopted in this course.
Many exercises will be given through out the session. Participants will involved heavily during the session with the help of the experienced course leader. Participants need a Scientific Calculator to facilitate their study. Practical applications on Microsoft Excel program to solve Statistical Analysis problems will be given as well.
A Discussion session of 10 to 15 minutes is given at the end of each session.
OBJECTIVES
* Importance of Statistical Decision Making.
* Common Mistakes in Extracting Information from Data.
* Proper Method of Engineering Evaluation Data Analysis.
* Statistical Inference on any Process/Operations.
* Sound or Reliable Confidence Level Prediction for Means, Standard Deviations and others.
* Making Appropriate Decision through Statistical Application.
* Many Real Life Examples and Case Studies.
