OVERVIEW
SAFe is a proven, codified, and publicly-facing knowledge base that is used to successfully scale Lean-Agile development in the larger software enterprise. Dean Leffingwell, Chief Methodologist for the Scaled Agile Academy, is a 30+ year veteran of the software industry. He developed the Scaled Agile Framework® which combines Agile portfolio management and large scale Agile architecture with the innovative Agile Release Train for program delivery.

OUTLINE OF PROGRAM
In this 2-day course, you will gain the knowledge necessary to lead an enterprise Agile transformation by leveraging the Scaled Agile Framework®, and its underlying principles of lean thinking, and product development flow. You will leave with an understanding of how the principles and practices of the framework support Lean Thinking, Agile Development, SAFe ScrumXP, Agile Release Train, Agile Portfolio Management, Agile Architecture, and Scaling Leadership.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Apply Lean, Agile and Product Development flow principles to improve productivity, employee engagement, time to market, and quality
- Apply the Scaled Agile Framework based on lecture, real-world examples, and insights by Scaled Agile experts
- Understand the skills necessary for an enterprise transformation based on the information and examples presented and additional recommended readings and resources
- Gain the insights into the leadership skill most effective in unlocking the intrinsic motivation of software development knowledge workers, and begin applying them in your context
- Cover Lean-Agile framework from Portfolio, Large Solutions to Program and Team levels
- Learn how the Lean Portfolio Management effectively leads and funds the Large Solution or Agile Release Trains
- Effective plan and lead the Agile Release Train (ART) to deliver values to customers

METHODOLOGY
Based on Lean-Agile SAFe® Framework, Scrum and Extreme Programing XP frameworks.
PRE-REQUISITE and FLOW
- ~2+ years of experience in software development, testing, business analysis, product or project management, experience in Scrum or other Agile framework.
- After you attend the 2-day Leading SAFe Course, you can take and pass the online SA Exam (exam fees are included in the package), and attain the SAFe Agilist (SA) Certification!
