Course Description
The Java[tm] 2 Enterprise Edition Patterns course provides students with a thorough understanding of Sun's Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE[tm]) architectural patterns and how to use them. J2EE concepts and origins are explained, with emphasis on how blueprints and patterns provide a platform for a scalable solution. The course provides practical examples to demonstrate how to use J2EE patterns.
Who can benefit
Experienced architects and software designers responsible for planning and designing medium to large scale solutions
Project managers who are leading teams building distributed systems components with Java technologies
Prerequisites
To succeed fully in this course, delegates should be able to:
Create applications using the Java programming language and platform
Design against an EJB server and JSPs or servlets
Identify common design patterns
Understand SQL
Skills Gained
Delegates can gain the following skills upon completion of this course:
Define in detail the components of the J2EE platform
Describe the common Gang of Four design patterns
Recommend blueprints to match business requirements
Apply J2EE patterns when designing enterprise systems
Successfully implement many J2EE patterns
