Introduction
Artificial Intelligence (AI) will define the next generation of software solutions and unlocks the potential to create amazing applications. This course introduces core concepts related to artificial intelligence (AI), and the services in Microsoft Azure that can be used to create AI apps and agents. The course is designed to teach students the core concepts and workloads related to AI, and how to get started developing AI apps and agents in Azure. It can be used to prepare for the Azure AI Fundamentals Microsoft certification.
Audience profile
The Introduction to AI in Azure course is designed for anyone interested in learning how to start developing artificial intelligence (AI) applications and agents on Azure. You don’t need to have any experience of using Microsoft Foundry before taking this course, but a basic familiarity with programming (Python preferred) is assumed.
Skills gained
After completing this course, students will be able to:
- Describe artificial intelligence workloads and how Microsoft Foundry supports them in Azure.
- Describe how generative AI and agents work and create an agent in Microsoft Foundry.
- Describe natural language processing techniques for text analysis. Use both general-purpose
models and Azure Language in Foundry Tools for text analysis tasks.
- Describe how computer speech works and use Azure Speech in Foundry Tools.
- Describe how computer vision works and use vision-capable models in Foundry.
- Describe how information extraction solutions work and use Azure Content Understanding in
Foundry Tools.
Prerequisites
Prerequisite certification is not required before taking this course. Successful AI-901 students start with some basic awareness of computing and internet concepts, and some basic knowledge of programming concepts and syntax.
Specifically:
- Experience using computers and the internet.
- Familiarity with programming concepts and syntax (preferably Python).
- Interest in use cases for AI applications agents.
- A willingness to learn through hands-on exploration.
