This replaces course Change Data Capture (CDC) Essentials (DX550)

This course is designed to explain the basic concepts of data replication in InfoSphere Change Data Capture, discuss its features, teach how it is setup. It also intends to teach how to troubleshoot InfoSphere Change Data Capture and how to use it for everyday business use.

Audience

This basic course is for InfoSphere Change Data Capture Administrators, Database Administrators that uses InfoSphere Change Data Capture to replicate data to and from the databases they are responsible for. Database Analysts, System Administrators and Operators using InfoSphere Change Data Capture. Data Warehouse managers/designers.

Prerequisites

Before attending this course, students should have experience:

  • Basic use of a Microsoft Windows XP environment.
  • Basic database knowledge like designing a table, querying a database using SQL.
