Overview

This course teaches the HPE OneView 6.X infrastructure management solution. It is the supporting training course for the exam requirement in the certification, HPE Product Certified – HPE OneView [2021]. The HPE OneView Product Certification requires knowledge of all aspects of HPE OneView management, including:

  • The HPE OneView ecosystem, including integration points and basics of REST API and PowerShell scripting
  • The HPE OneView installation process (appliance and HPE Composer) and initial setup
  • Connectivity management using HPE OneView
  • Storage management using HPE OneView
  • Server/frame/enclosure management using HPE OneView
  • Server profile management using HPE OneView
  • Security and data center management using HPE OneView
  • Basic troubleshooting and maintenance procedures for HPE OneView
  • Integration plugin-ins
  • How to recommend and demonstrate

Module 2: HPE OneView Installation and Initial Setup

  • Describe the HPE OneView for HPE Synergy configuration process
  • Describe the HPE OneView appliance installation and configuration process
  • Explain the HPE OneView first access and initial configuration steps

Module 3: Managing Networking in HPE OneView

  • Describe the high level HPE OneView configuration process
  • Describe HPE Virtual Connect technologies
  • Create networks and network sets using HPE OneView
  • Explain logical resources in HPE OneView (logical interconnect group, enclosure group, and logical enclosure)
  • Describe basics of ToR switch management

Module 4: Managing HPE Storage Using HPE OneView

  • Identify the supported storage components and integration model in HPE OneView
  • Understand the process of adding a SAN manager and SAN configuration to HPE OneView
  • Explain the process of adding supported HPE storage devices to HPE OneView
  • Describe volume and logical JBOD management using HPE OneView

  • Explain the HPE OneView update process
  • Describe basic HPE OneView troubleshooting and maintenance procedures
  • Discuss available report options
