INTRODUCTION
Effective Leadership and Delegation skills are the core skills for entrusting authority and responsibility to one another to complete clearly defined and agreed tasks under their supervision while retaining responsibility for the success of the work. Leaders can’t do everything and neither they should be expected to, as there is only so much value in them to deliver without becoming overloaded and ineffective.
Delegation is the process of relinquishing decisions and tasks to others to give the workforce an opportunity to learn and grow professionally. It can be a significant act of empowerment, for the leader to make the decision to whom and how decisions and tasks will be assigned and delegated.
The key difference between both techniques is that delegation raises followers, and empowerment raises leaders.
Leaders who engage their employees with more challenging work that falls outside their routine responsibilities will motivate them to build greater autonomy and excel. Leaders will build the trust and provide the support necessary to increase employee involvement in their department’s functions.
This program is designed to build leaders’ delegation skills, develop their teams, and continuously improve the performance of the organization by enabling people to make full use of their strengths and capabilities.
