Certified IP Professional (CIPP)- M2M Communications

Course outline

5 days

Duration

5 days

Overview

Machine to Machine (M2M) communications is an important growth area both for Telcos and for organisations that wish to communicate with or automate operations over a network. The program will examine aspects & issues related to communication over both “fixed line” & a variety of “wireless” networks. You will learn the technical skills and understanding needed to successfully implement M2M communications systems through a hands-on approach.

Course Objectives

You will be able to

  • Understand the M2M ecosystem
  • Describe the function and role of various devices in an M2M implementation
  • Select an appropriate network technology
  • Design capillary networks with the appropriate interconnect technology
  • Configure and troubleshoot a range of communications protocols
  • Perform simple programming of embedded systems

Who can benefit

Engineers and consultants who wish to build on their existing skills in IP and apply them to designing, building and troubleshooting M2M solutions for a range of scenarios.

Pre requisite knowledge

Participants have a good knowledge of networking; this can be gained through successfully completion of the Certified IP Associate (CIPA). In addition, participants should have an appreciation of software development.
