Course Description

This course is designed to introduce the students to performance tuning concepts and methods. In order to enable the students to analyze the file system better, this course also covers advanced GPFS concepts which are pertinent to performance.

Audience

The audience for this course is advanced GPFS system administrators, advanced users, and file system support staff.

Prerequisites

You should have completed the GPFS Administration course.

Welcome
Exercise 1: GPFS cluster setup
Exercise 2: Performance measurement and data collection

Day 2

Exercise 3: Performance analysis using gpfsperf and nsdperf
Exercise 4: Configuration of tuning parameters
