EIEIO / NETWORKING

Advanced Core Network Protocol & Signaling Analysis

Course outline

5 days

Executive Summary

The training program has been structured to provide a progressive learning journey—from foundational protocol understanding to advanced flow analysis and real-world troubleshooting techniques. The course emphasizes hands-on engagement with industry-standard protocols including SIP, Diameter, GTP, S1-AP, MAP, BICC, and H.248, in alignment with 3GPP specifications.

Key program components include:

Day 1: Standard Protocol (2/3G, IMS and Packet Core) - foundational concepts and network interface standards.

  • Days 2–3: IMS Signaling Analysis — SIP and Diameter protocols, VoLTE call flow, IP-SMS, and fault analysis.

Day 5: MSS Signaling Analysis — CS signaling flow, location updates, call and SMS procedures, and troubleshooting.
