Module Synopsis
- The Introduction provides key fundamentals of project management. Discover the basic facts of project management and its successful implementation, the project sponsor, the life cycle phases, and the main skills and expectations of project managers. Each of the ten subjects contains the processes that need to be accomplished within its discipline in order to achieve an effective project management program. Each of these processes also falls into one of the five process groups (initiating, planning, implementing, controlling, and closing) creating a matrix structure such that every process can be related to one subject area and one process group.
- The ISO 21500 ten subjects are:
- Integration Management focuses on the importance of having project managers work across the organisational boundaries in order to be successful.
- Scope Management establishes the foundation of how to systematically identify the key deliverables of the project. After establishing a scope baseline, it is crucial to ensure that there will be a process for managing change.

- Procurement Management covers the essentials of procurement decisions, contract administration and closure principles.
